Annual Party - Oh what a night! PDF Print E-mail

We well and truly rocked the Rifle Club at our annual party on Friday 2 September 2016!

The venue was packed out to the rafters and full of friendly faces out for a good time!

Andy's up

Andy Muscat belted out some great tunes with his acoustic guitar - he warmed the crowd up and they loved it!

Feeling lucky?

Then it was time for the auction and raffle. There were some great items on offer; from signed football memorabilia, to a voucher for a fancy cream tea, and of course the ever popular bottles of booze. Everyone was very generous and loads of tickets were bought. Thank you to all who donated prizes, and congratulations to the lucky winner of £100 cash!

Clinton and Adele Prince from the Trust then came on stage to make a quick and heartfelt speech. Clinton took to the microphone to thank everyone for their continued support and to announce reaching the £1MILLION mark -  the applause was deafening!

Headline time

The Flixs headlined the night and the dance floor was completely rammed for their energetic set of 60’s Motown classics! Everyone was singing and dancing their hearts out, and ending then night with Proud Mary is always a sure fire winner.

DJ Tommy played all the right tunes and kept the crowd dancing until the very end - when staff had to clear the revellers out the door!

It was a really great night with lots of familiar faces in the crowd - people that have supported us from the very beginning. And lots of lovely folk who have found out about the Trust along our journey and supported us like troopers! The energy in the room was beautiful. The party is always a great chance for our supporters, family and friends to catch up and this year felt extra special as we all celebrated reaching the milestone together.

And the total is...

We're waiting for the final total to come in but the night raised around the £2,000 mark - which is brilliant!

The Trust, and the Prince family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. Thanks for sharing the night with us as we celebrated reaching our target for research into the rare child and teenage bone cancer Osteosarcoma.
